Guitar Lessons
Available In Studio or Online
Lessons are available on either acoustic or electric guitar, and are adapted to the skill level and musical taste of the student. Theory is integrated so that you’re not just learning how to play a favourite song, but you learn how the chords and scales fit together, an important skill for improvising or writing your own music.
While you can start on either acoustic or electric, you’re more likely to learn quicker on electric. For more on that watch our video on the subject.
Piano Lessons
Available In Studio or Online
Our Piano lessons offer much greater flexibility than most studios. We can range from teaching Royal Conservatory Classical methods (including exam preparation) to Contemporary Pop and Musicals, to music from movies and video games.
We follow the students interest and direct that into teaching proper technique and theory in a versatile way, so they can learn how to play things they enjoy and get a more rounded understanding of how music is composed
Vocal Lessons
Available In Studio or Online
Our vocal lessons are focused on teaching proper techniques like breath control, warming up, singing intervals and more, but within the context of your preferred music. Many enjoy working on musical theatre or pop and rock songs, while some work on Royal Conservatory classical grades, or a blend of styles.
Drum Lessons
Available In Studio or Online
Drum lessons teach proper technique and build coordination in a natural progression while using popular songs or music of your choice as examples. Students will learn to read music and recognize groupings and sticking patterns as they build from basic rhythms to compound times, more complicated sticking patterns and practical applications.
Violin Lessons
Available In Studio or Online
Learn scales, songs and technique using songs of your choice, classical pieces, or traditional fiddle style songs. Sheet music is provided for students and loaner instruments are available (free for first six lessons, $12 a month afterwards). Royal Conservatory methods can also be taught, and exams booked, however student does have to purchase the books.
Ukulele Lessons
Available In Studio or Online
You can learn to strum simple songs or we can also incorporate fingerpicking, extended chords and melodic pl y so that students learn to use the full range of the instrument.. We adapt many current songs that were played on piano or guitar so that you can take the ukulele further than most programs.
